Creating Neuro-Inclusive Classrooms (NDC 102)

Support neurodivergent students with confidence, clarity, and practical tools you can use immediately.
This course is a hands-on guide for educators, counselors, and school staff who want to better understand, and better support, neurodiverse high school students.

You’ll explore how ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and other neurodevelopmental differences can shape learning, communication, executive functioning, and behavior in real classroom settings.

Grounded in real-world scenarios and student perspectives, the course focuses on what works: strengths-based, stigma-reducing strategies that help students feel understood while improving engagement, independence, and academic success.

By the end of the course, you will be able to:

  • Recognize common neurodiversity profiles and how they may present in high school
  • Identify barriers in classroom routines, instruction, and school systems—and reduce them
  • Use practical strategies for communication, executive functioning support, and self-advocacy
  • Create more inclusive, flexible learning environments that honor different ways of thinking
  • Respond to challenges with empathy and skill, without relying on compliance-based approaches

You’ll leave with a clear framework, actionable techniques, and renewed confidence to help every student thrive.
